The vessel
Seven Navica is a pipelay and subsea construction vessel. Capable of operating in water depths of up to 2,000 meters, Seven Navica has pipelay capability for installing both rigid and flexible products. It has a deck-mounted storage and deployment reel with capacity for pipe diameters of up to 16 inches and a total weight of 2,200 tons. Other features include e.g. an optional piggy-back reel, a lay ramp system, a 60 ton offshore crane and a helicopter deck. 
Seven Navica accommodates 73 persons and was built in 1999 on Aker-Brattvaag in Norway.

The operator

The customers/the trade
Subsea 7 offers all disciplines within subsea oil and gas development and operation, including e.g. complete engineering, installation- and construction services. As a pipe lay vessel, Seven Navica is employed in laying offshore subsea pipelines for the transportation of oil and gas from offshore fields where oil and gas deposits are situated under water.
